Angels trail Rangers, 5-0, in fifth inning

April 4th, 2008, 8:44 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Al Balderas, staff writer

Ben Broussard hit a grand slam in the top of the fourth inning, giving the Texas Rangers a 5-0 lead off of Angels starter Dustin Moseley, at Angel Stadium.

The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when David Murphy scored on a wild pitch and have turned three double plays in four innings to maintain their advantage.

The Angels loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the fourth but Robb Quinlan hit a 2-0 offering from Kason Gabbard and grounded into an inning-ending double play.
