Dustin Moseley pitched two innings of relief in Monday night’s blowout loss to the Oakland A’s and will continue to pitch out of the bullpen for the time being.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Tuesday that Moseley will not make his scheduled start on Thursday and that a minor-league pitcher will be called up to make that start.
“He’s going to stay in the bullpen for right now,” said Scioscia said.
Scioscia also said that the decision to move and keep Moseley in the bullpen has nothing to do with the pitcher’s 1-2 record or 6.75 ERA. Moseley will be there to add some depth to the Angels’ depleted bullpen.
Here are the lineup for tonight’s game, as the Angels try to even their series with the Oakland A’s. Garret Anderson has been dropped to seventh in the batting order and first baseman Casey Kotchman has been given the day off. Third baseman Brandon Wood will be making his first start of the season. The game will feature two undefeated starting pitchers.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
