OK, the Angels have the best record in baseball, but no one outside of Angel Stadium seems to notice (though a few people in Fenway Park might this week).
It’s as if Mike Scioscia and Co. are being taken for granted, counted on to produce during the regular season and only worthy of intense attention and the spotlight come October. We certainly don’t feel that way, as our Angels coverage shows.
But there are plenty of things in the news that seem to be diverting general sports fans’ attention away from the Angels. Which one needs to go away the most?
The HarrisPoll explains it all. The Angels are the most unpopular MLB Team in The USA,
The Angels aren’t being taken for granted, they just play in the smallest division in baseball and have an unfair advantage as a result, and people understand that. The Angels need to go past the first round of the playoffs before they deserve any respect. They looked great last season too, then embarrassed us all by getting sweeped in the first round of the playoffs.
NONE OF THE ABOVE: It’s the constant east coast bias of all west coast teams and specifically the Angels.
Of course marshen, anyone who does not support the Angels MUST have east coast bias. Are Angels fans really this insecure??
