  Dennis Sarfate pitched well against the Angels in a relief role, when these teams met at Camden Yards. But the Orioles right-hander was in trouble very early on Monday.

  Chone Figgins opened the bottom of the first with a base hit to left, coming at the end of an 8-pitch at-bat. He went to second on a passed ball and then Erick Aybar put down a perfect bunt for a base hit.

  Mark Teixeira then followed with an RBI single, before Vladimir Guerrero put a serious dent in the Angels’ inning by grounding into a double play.

  After one inning, the Angels lead 1-0.
