Rain delay in Detroit

September 3rd, 2008, 3:16 pm · Post a Comment · posted by BILL PLUNKETT, OCREGISTER.COM

The tarp has been on the field since late afternoon here at Comerica Park so batting practice was cancelled. The Angels hit in the batting cages under the stadium instead — and then most of them could be found in the players’ lounge of the visitors’ clubhouse watching, “Two For the Money” starring Matthews McConaughey and Al Pacino.

Word is the Tigers hope to start the game around 8 p.m. locally (5 p.m. PT) — but the clouds are pretty heavy right now and the rain has been coming down steadily for the past hour.

When/if the game gets started, here are the lineups:

1B Kendry Morales

C  Mike Napoli

TIGERS
