The Yankees have pushed their lead to 4-0 in the top of the sixth inning on a three-run homer to right center by Alex Rodriguez.

Derek Jeter opened the inning with a fly ball into the gap in right center that hit the glove of and was dropped by Gary Matthews Jr., and generously scored as a triple. Bobby Abreu then walked ahead of Rodriguez, who crushed a 2-1 pitch from Angels’ starter Ervin Santana.

Up in Seattle, Texas still is holding a 4-1 lead.
