I’ve been an Angels fan since 1980. You remember, guys like Frank Tanana, Brian Downing, Rod Carew, Bobby Grich, Don Baylor, those guys? Trust me, I’ve had my heart ripped out enough to know. I still cringe when someone mentions the name Donnie Moore. I still remember 1995 and blowing a 13-game lead with six weeks left. And yes, I’ll ALWAYS remember sitting in the stands during Game 6 in 2002, watching the Giants fair-weather fans leaving in droves when they got a stake through the heart, and sitting in Section 404, looking down on Barriod Bonds as he Cadillacs that grounder Anderson knocked into left.

So please, homer, don’t tell me about bandwagoning when I’ve still got my CALIFORNIA Angels hat from my youth still in my office.

In other words, Jer, shove it where the sun don’t shine. Even a dull-witted New Yorker like you should be able to understand THAT.
