ANAHEIM - That crushing two-run homer crushed by Boston’s Jason Bay in the sixth inning Wednesday?
Blame it on Manny stinking Ramirez, who continues to haunt the Angels even in his absence.
Bay joined the Red Sox in July as part of the three-way trade that made Ramirez a Dodger. His shot off John Lackey turned a 1-0 Angels’ lead into a 2-1 Angels’ deficit.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Angels responded by striking out three times against Jon Lester. That was Manny’s fault, too.
The Angels failures in the playoffs is because Manager Mike can’t get a team ready to play let alone win. And using washed up pitchers to try to stay in it - all fans know Shields was washed up 2 years ago.
Fans deserve better - maybe it is time for a change at the manager’s level.
No maybes about it, Tony. If and when the Angels are eliminated by the Red Sox, Scoscia should RESIGN. The days of the rally monkey and small ball being a novelty are long gone, and Mike needs to to be too.
wow, blaming it on manny, you sound like the boston media, haha.
Manny stinks.
