
ANAHEIM - Just nine innings into the postseason and it’s must-win time already for the Angels.
A loss here in Game 2 Friday would make winning this series only slightly more likely than Prince Fielder becoming a figure skater.
Sure, teams have come back from bigger deficits than 2-0 in the postseason. The Red Sox, for example, did it against the Yankees not long ago.
But the Angels winning three in a row against Boston? Two of which would be at Fenway Park? Please.
Remember this: The Angels are streaky alright. They’ve lost eight consecutive playoff games.
In effect if the angels lose game two then the series is over.
Just because the Angels “can’t” lose Game 2 doesn’t mean they won’t. Last year ring a bell?
