Before Game 3 Sunday, Angels manager Mike Scioscia refused to answer questions that compared the Angels to the Chicago Cubs, essentially guaranteeing a victory.
He was at it again in the interview room before Game 4 today. When his “we’re not getting eliminated” statement was thrown back at him, Scioscia was adamant once again about his stance.
“Let me say this — if there are more questions out there about me, doing some kind of forensic analysis or pre-mortem, I’m going to have the same response,” he said. “We’re going to win.
“Ask me to do a forensic analysis and I’ll guarantee it. I’ll guarantee a victory. I’m not going to sit here and compare. The question yesterday was comparing us to what happened to the Cubs. The Cubs were eliminated. We’re not eliminated. That’s my position on that.”
Nothing wrong with thinking your team is going to win. That’s why you can’t get mad at Jeff Miller predicting his Red Sox will win tonight.
Good Luck Angel Fans. Wishing you the best from a
Red Sox Fan.
Hey Scoscia, why don’t you put your job on the line this time? Or was last night just a lucky guess?
If your gonna make the guarantee, your team better play fundamentally sound ball.
Once again, the Angels are a complete joke in October. The Dodgers did their part, the Angels did not. The question now is, will Angels fans have the class to back the Dodgers the rest of the way?
There is no third time is a charm for the Angels until Scoscia leave the team, We need another manager with more love for the team and not just making promeses, we don’t want promeses we want ( Angels funs) championships.
