Rodriguez named Sporting News All-Star

Francisco Rodriguez’s record-setting season has earned him at least one post-season honor. The Angels’ closer was named to the annual Sporting News All-Star team.

The American and National League teams are chosen by a group of 41 general managers and assistant GMs from both leagues.

Here are the complete teams in each league:

    Frankie needs to dedicate his all-star honors to his Angel team mates. They kept the games close enough for Frankie to get his chances. If he was on any other team, he’d have only won 35-40 games.
