Former Register reporter Lee Jenkins did a great job of profiling the big catch of this baseball winter, free agent first baseman Mark Teixeira, in this story for Sports Illustrated.

I don’t see how you can read this article and not come away thinking what I have believed all along — Mark Teixeira will sign with whichever team offers him the most money.

That team could be the Angels ……
