TNT touted Timothy Hutton’s new show like no other, giving “Leverage” almost a three-month buildup.
Meanwhile on the baseball free-agent front, Scott Boras’ leverage is fast disappearing.
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman says, contrary to reports, he doesn’t have offers out for Manny Ramirez, Mark Teixeira or apparently any other hitter. And it doesn’t sound like any are planned.
In the New York Post report, Cashman says the Yankees hope to boost their offense by having healthy seasons by Hideki Matsui and Jorge Posada and productive seasons by Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera.
What else can you say after spending $240 million on two starting pitchers?
Back on the small screen, TNT’s thriller starring Hutton has been critically acclaimed.
