The Angels placed right-handed pitcher Kelvim Escobar on the 15-day disabled list because of tightness in his shoulder, but Manager Mike Scioscia said the team is confident Escobar will be able to come off the DL Monday. The move is retroactive to the last time Escobar pitched.
