Jered and Jeff Weaver have always been there for each other.

For the first time in their Major League career’s they’ll be facing off against one another.

Jeff Weaver is scheduled to start for the Dodgers when they play at Angels Stadium on Saturday. Jered is listed as the Angels’ scheduled starter.

Though it came close to happening once, it didn’t. Jeff and Jered said, when the Angels visited Dodger Stadium a couple of weeks ago, that they would look forward to such a matchup. Their parents might not agree.

The only thing missing from this matchup will be one brother pitching to the other. Since the game will be played in an American League park, the DH rule will be in effect. Jered joked that if he ever had to pitch to his older brother, he’d throw his pitches “high and tight”.
