ARLINGTON, Tex.
…. Friday?
Angels right-hander Ervin Santana threw his bullpen session at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington this afternoon. Santana threw 48 pitches and had this to say about how he felt afterwards.
“Bueno,” he said with a smile. “Ready to go.”
Angels manager Mike Scioscia remained non-committal on which day Santana will pitch, saying only that “he’s going to be pitching in the Baltimore series” — a four-game series starting Thursday in Anaheim.
But the fact that Santana threw his bullpen session today would seem to indicate a Friday start for him. As the rotation currently sets up, Matt Palmer’s next start would be Friday with Sean O’Sullivan lined up for Saturday.
“There are some things we’ll be looking at,” Scioscia said for the thousandth time this season.
