The Nick Adenhart Memorial Fund set up in the wake of the Angels pitcher’s tragic death made its first donation this week — a $5,000 check delivered to the Little League where Adenhart played as a kid.
Nick’s father, Jim, presented the check to the Halfway Little League in Maryland during a ceremony before the start of the district tournament for nine- and 10-year-old All-Stars. Nick’s grandparents were also on hand.
“This is where it all started,” Jim Adenhart said.
A similar presentation is scheduled for this week at the Hagerstown (Md.) Pony League.
These are the kind of stories that should make headlines, not Manny doing PEDs, yet whats the lead story on ESPN- Manny’s return to the Dodgers
Agreed, David. This is a better story in so many ways, every way in fact except for the tragedy that led to it, but people being who they are, there is more interest in the other
Let’s post once again the donation info:

I agree! I too had many wonderful experiences in little league baseball…Possibly the best! This story broke my heart. Sending my donation asap.
