ANAHEIM
Angels outfielder Torii Hunter met with Dr. Lewis Yocum Wednesday night to go over the results of his MRI. Hunter said he was told he has a strain of the adductor muscle in his right groin but there was no evidence of a tear.
“It’s good news there’s nothing torn,” Hunter said. “But it’s still sad news to me.”
That seems to indicate Hunter is headed for the DL. That move probably won’t be made until Friday since the Angels are off Thursday.
“I haven’t been on the DL in years and really don’t want to head that way,” Hunter said. “We’ll decide that on Friday.”
Hunter hasn’t been on the DL since a stress fracture of his left foot in 2006.
No news on Vladimir Guerrero yet.
Thank goodness we have Mathews,Jr. and Reggie Willits. Not that we won’t miss Torii, it will give these guys a chance.
What is the fascination with Willits? The guy is a pinch runner at best. Then you have guaranteed out, Gary Mathews Jr. I say move Figgins to CF and bring up Brandon Wood.
I guess it is good thing that the All Star break is coming and Torii will not have to miss too many games. Angels just need to hang on and hang close to Texas.
yeahh but what good does it do if they dnt step up……i mean in Matthews we dnt lose much of Torri’s Defense but when it comes to batting we lose alot……hopefully Matthews steps up…..
I agree with Jim; move Figgins to center and it’s time to bring up brandon Wood.
Jim - add my vote to your suggestion…..
Then send it to manager Mike
