The Yankees no longer are making any effort to hide it. They find it a miserably difficult task trying to beat the Angels, especially at Angel Stadium. They’re 5-16 in their last 21 games at the Big A.Yankees Red Sox Baseball

The Angels were missing Torii Hunter and Vladimir Guerrero for the first two games of this series. Didn’t matter. They scored 24 runs.

“They play the game hard and they play it right,” New York pitcher Andy Pettitte said of Mike Scioscia’s team.

For an excellent tour of the Yankees’ frustrations playing in Anaheim, check out Tyler Kepner’s piece in the New York Times. Next up is C.C. Sabathia this afternoon. If anybody can reverse the jinx, maybe it’s the big lefty.
