Angels shortstop Erick Aybar appeared to get either kneed or kicked in the head by A’s shortstop Orlando Cabrera as Cabrera turned a double play in the third inning.

Aybar stayed on the ground for awhile as the Angels trainers came out to check on him but he did remain in the game for another inning. He has left the game now. Maicer Izturis moved from second base to shortstop with Howie Kendrick entering the game at shortstop.

The preliminary word is that  Aybar left the game due to dizziness.
