* Manager Mike Scioscia said outfielder Juan Rivera had an MRI that showed nothing beyond the strained hamstring he has been diagnosed with. Scioscia expects Rivera to play at some point this weekend.

As for Torii Hunter and Vlad Guerrero, expect it to be a matter of weeks, from the sound of things.

Then again, the Angels are on fire without them, having scored four runs or more in an inning 11 times in the last 17 games.
