* Catcher Mike Napoli is just recovering from severe flu-like symptoms that caused him to visit a hospital in Texas and to miss the team’s chartered flight back to Orange County late Sunday. Napoli is feeling better and was cleared to play Tuesday. His reward is to catch today’s game in what are expected to be 100-degree temperatures.

* Vladimir Guerrero is getting a scheduled day off.
