I was just told this great story by Eric Carpenter, an Orange County Register reporter who attended Friday night’s game at Angel Stadium.
Eric grew up in Anaheim, graduated from Anaheim High School and has been rooting for the Angels all his life:
“So, I’m walking to the Angels game on Friday night and I see a couple of Sox fans turn around and start jawing at an Angels fan in a wheelchair and I’m thinking, ‘Oh, no. What’s this?’ Turns out, they offer to push him about a quarter-mile to the stadium entrance. … Thought it was a pretty cool moment.”
Proof positive that all Red Sox fans are not… well, you know.
They are absolutely not all cut from the same cloth, and now maybe that we’ve evened the score a bit we can all relax a bit on the whole “Red Sux” thing. Remember Angels fans, the Red Sox fans became obnoxious after their long suffering team acheived success. We don’t want to make the mistake of falling into the same pattern after finally beating Boston. As our friends from the east are finding out, you reap what you sow.
I think most die-hard Sox fans arent so bad. Its the badwagon fans that have followed since 2004. These guys are the worst and cant even name the starting team or who that guy wearing the John Lennon specs in the Red Sox dugout is….
Dodgers fans are worse than Sox fans, imho.
No doubt about it. Dodger fans are the absolute worst in the sport.
I have season tickets and seen all types of fans and the Dodger fans are the worst. Why do they think they need to get drunk at a baseball game? It makes for a bad situation.
