Mets’ eyes on Figgins

If the Mets can ditch second baseman Luis Castillo, one of their many disappointments, they look to pursue free agents Chone Figgins or Orlando Hudson, according to the New York Post. But that will not be easy.

    Is it possible the Mets know more about Hudson than Joe Torre did? The Dodgers fell in love with Ronnie Belliard in the last month.

    I never did figure out what Hudson and Billingsley did wrong, other than have slumps they deserved the chance to play their way out of — and I saw a lot of Dodgers games.
